Gordon Brown's problems mount as Labour's deputy leader Harriet Harman is forced to deny she intends to fight for the party leadership.

After a week of bitter infighting, Harriet Harman publically declared she does not want to take over from the prime minister, insisting there were "no circumstances" under which she would mount a challenge.

Does no one want the beleaguered Brown's job?

He will aim to draw a line under speculation about his leadership with a keynote speech on education tomorrow.

And there is more bad news for the government, with EU economic forecasts claiming the chancellor has vastly exaggerated the UK's predicted recovery from the recession.
