Hello and welcome to the Morning Report with Glenda Cooper. It's Thursday 21 June - coming up:

* Battling for Britain: will Tony Blair concede more power to Brussels at the EU Summit? Plus what Tony does next - speculation that his new job will be a Middle East envoy.

* In sport - glamour rules at the races. It's ladies day at Royal Ascot.

* Plus: celebrating the summer solstice - we speak to a Druid priestess about the festival's significance.

The weather: The sun rose at 4.58am for the solstice - but you won't be seeing much of it again today. It'll be fairly cloudy for much of the UK, the best sunshine will be in the east. Showers across western areas will become increasingly widespread with some heavy and thundery bursts...right over Glastonbury I'm afraid so get your wellies out.

This is the Morning Report from Channel 4 Radio News.
