Lower tax lures business to Ireland

United Business Media, the publisher and events organiser, announces that it is creating a new holding company in Ireland to take advantage of its simpler system of taxation.

It's the second major company in a month to move its tax base from Britain to Ireland.

The country's low corporation tax of 12.5 per cent, less than half of Britain's rate, has made it a magnet for foreign companies.
