Brown refuses to back referendum call from Scottish party leader, Wendy Alexander. Gary Gibbon reports.
Divisions between Gordon Brown and the Labour leader in Scotland opened up today as the Prime Minister refused to support her call for a referendum on Scottish independence.
Mr Brown was taunted by David Cameron in the Commons over Wendy Alexander's acceptance of a referendum. The Prime Minister said he wouldn't make a decision until a review of Scottish devolution had been completed, prompting the Tory leader to accuse him of losing control of his party in Scotland.
Our political editor, Gary Gibbon, reports.
