With his security in Helmand compromised will radicals now target Harry back home too?

While tabloid headlines proclaim him a national hero, to others his talk of killing 'Terry Taliban' has provoked the opposite reaction.

The presence of British soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan has long alienated many British Muslims.

Today we have been gauging the reaction of some British Muslims - to find out if their attitude towards the royal family has changed.

But as Friday prayers finished at the London Central Mosque, almost every Muslim who was willing to speak to us gave Prince Harry their support.

However, security experts think the prince, fresh from Afghanistan, will need extra protection back in the UK.

The ministry of defence has, eventually, trumpeted his involvement in this war, so too will extremists but for very different reasons.
