Government prepares tax breaks

Tax cuts for low income families and extra public spending are forecast in the government's pre-budget report.
Gordon Brown hinted at the fiscal giveaway on November 24 after the G20 group of nations pledged to work together to "restore global growth".
But support for a so-called fiscal stimulus was only one small part of the 3,000 word joint statement from the leaders of the world's most important economies.
