Updated on 25 June 2007

By Channel 4 News

A word in your ear, Prime Minister. What's your message for Mr Brown?

When Gordon Brown finally gets the keys to Number Ten this week - one thing he won't be short of is advice.

We've asked some of the country's leading figures to offer their specialist insight on issues from healthcare to foreign policy.

Every night this week we'll be showing a series of personal Memos to Gordon Brown.

Fiona Millar's memo

She is a journalist specialising in education, she chairs the National Family and Parenting Institute, and is a former adviser to Cherie Blair. In addition, she is a school governor and campaigner against selective education.

This is her personal view of the education policies she thinks Mr Brown should adopt, in a high-tech video memo.

Carne Ross's memo

He spent four and a half years as the UK's Middle East expert on the UN Security. His work included the drafting and negotiation of several Security Council resolutions on Iraq. In the summer of 2004, he supplied a secret, written testimony to the Butler inquiry on intelligence and weapons of mass destruction.

The act of giving evidence finally brought his career as a British diplomat to an end. He now works independently from government.

You can see his personal view of what Mr Brown should be doing on the international stage here:

Sir Gerry Robinson's memo

He's chaired Granada, BSkyB, ITN, the Arts Council for England and Allied Domecq - and four years ago was knighted for services to the arts and business.

This is his personal view of what Mr Brown should do with the NHS, delivered in the contemporary form of a memo - an online video clip:

Send us your Memos to Gordon

If you want to add your message to Gordon Brown's in tray, now is your chance. We'd like viewers to submit their own visual memos. They can be pieces to camera or something more imaginative, serious or fun.

The easiest way to do this is to upload your video to one of the popular video sharing websites and then send us the link (and you might want to tag it 'Memo to Gordon' so it can be found more easily).

We'll showcase the best on our website here.
