Ex-Sun editor could stand against Davis

The former editor of The Sun newspaper Kelvin MacKenzie announces that he is likely to stand in the by-election against David Davis.

MacKenzie said he decided to stand after being asked to run by the paper's owner Rupert Murdoch.

The former shadow home secretary forced the by-election after resigning over the issue of 42-day detention yesterday.
