Simon Israel reports on the investigation into how Sir Ian Blair was pushed out of his job as Britain's most senior policeman by London's mayor.
Channel 4 News has learned the committee will grill the Home Secretary Jacqui Smith about her claims that the London Mayor Boris Johnson failed to follow the correct procedure in his consultations before Sir Ian's resignation was announced yesterday.
