David Cameron posters vandalised

By Channel 4 News

Updated on 27 January 2010

Giant posters of David Cameron have been altered by the public, with the Conservative leader unlikely to appreciate the changes.

Some of the posters, which were professionally retouched to show Cameron at his best, have been vandalised by voters.

One poster, in London, which features a photo of Cameron next to the slogan: "We can't go on like this. I’ll cut the deficit, not the NHS," has had the comment “F*** off back to Eton” written in red paint on it. Another had "Lies" emblazoned beneath it.

While in another in Hereford, someone has used paint to give Cameron's image an Elvis-like haircut, while adding "with suspicious minds" underneath the Tory campaign slogan "we can’t go on like this."

If any political posters have been altered near your, please send us a picture.
