Clegg attacks 'zombie Brown' in robust Lib Dem conference debut

Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg slams the government and says only his party can make Britain fairer by offering tax cuts to poor families.
Speaking at his party's annual conference in Bournemouth, the Liberal Democrat leader said Gordon Brown heads a "zombie government", and David Cameron's Conservatives are not offering any concrete alternative policies.
By contrast he said Labour were so desperate to protect their own jobs, they could not be bothered to protect the jobs of others.
