Cameron sorry over bike film

Updated on 21 March 2008

By Lucy Manning

David Cameron has been criticised after a tabloid newspaper caught him repeatedly ignoring the rules of the road.

Mr Cameron was filmed cycling through red lights and the wrong way up one-way streets.

His candidate for London mayor Boris Johnson has told Channel 4 News there should be zero tolerance for cyclists who break the law.

The Conservative leader said he was sorry and that he knew it was important to obey traffic laws, maybe he'll now be tempted to join his briefcase and shoes which follow behind in his car.
