Cameron criticises Labour party
Updated on 03 December 2007
David Cameron has accused the Labour party of being either utterly disfunctional or not telling the whole truth about donations.
The Tory leader said it was not credible that the Prime Minister's chief fundraiser, Jon Mendelsohn, did not know earlier about the donations by David Abrahams, if he had already expressed unhappiness about the arrangement.
Police from three forces are now investigating Labour funding, as opponents maintain the pressure on Gordon Brown over the scandals.
Police in Durham are to meet Liberal Democrat MP Chris Huhne over his concerns about planning permission granted to a company involving the Labour donor, David Abrahams.
