Calls for tougher anti-sleaze rules

The leader of the lords says she wants tougher anti-sleaze rules amid the row over the four labour peers in the cash-for-influence claims.
'Full investigation' into peer claims
The peers, Lord Moonie, Lord Snape, Lord Taylor of Blackburn and Lord Truscott are accused of asking for as much as £10,000 a month to help secure amendments to a government bill on behalf of a business client.
The leader of the Lords, Baroness Royall is expected to meet the four today to discuss their interests.
All of them have declared a number of interests already:
Lord Moonie is a parliamentary lobbyist for one company, a non parliamentary consultant for three companies and holds two paid directorships
Lord Snape is a non-parliamentary consultant for four companies and has significant shareholdings in a transport company
Lord Taylor of Blackburn is a non-parliamentary consultant for seven companies, and a paid director of four companies
Lord Truscott is a non-parliamentary consultant for seven companies and is a paid director of four companies
