Boris blasted over Blair resignation

Updated on 03 October 2008

By James Blake

Boris Johnson's decision to put pressure on Sir Ian Blair to resign as Britain's most senior police officer has been savaged by Jacqui Smith.

Sir Ian resigned yesterday, saying he'd lost Mr Johnson's support.
