'Youngest mum' has conjoined twins
Updated on 24 November 2008
An 18-year-old is preparing to become Britain's youngest ever mother to conjoined twins, according to reports.
Laura Williams and husband Aled, 28, told the Mail on Sunday that, despite the risks, they decided not to abort their daughters Faith and Hope, who will be delivered by Caesarian section this week.
The teenager, from Shrewsbury, is being cared for at Birmingham Women's Hospital but will be transferred to another in London for the procedure, the newspaper says.
