Britain's leading hockey goalkeepers are training using a computer game in the hope of improving reaction speed.

Coaches have told goalkeepers in the Great Britain squad to play Nintendo Wii to discover if hand-eye coordination and vision improves.

Squad officials say coaches have established a research project to establish whether goalkeepers will benefit. A spokesman for governing body England Hockey said: "It's a research project and the three goalkeepers in the GB squad are taking part."
