Silent criminal not released

A foreign criminal is being held in a British jail despite completing his sentence two years ago, it was revealed.

Authorities are holding the inmate at Peterborough Prison in Cambridgeshire because he refuses to reveal any personal details.

Home Office sources say the man was jailed after being convicted of wounding and aggravated burglary, but because he refuses to say who he is or where he is from, authorities have decided it is not safe to release him.
