A 20-year-old shoplifter has become the first person in the country to request an ASBO for herself, police.

Tania Hall was given a two-year antisocial behaviour order by magistrates in Birmingham, after she asked for it to be brought to help her avoid crime.

Hall, from Hagley, has committed 12 shoplifting offences during the last six to seven years, according to West Midlands Police.
