Updated on 25 September 2008
A car salesman is recovering after being struck down by a rare flesh-eating bug.
Gavin Elliott, 34, of Ipswich, Suffolk, needed three operations to remove tissue infected by necrotising fasciitis and graft skin on to damaged areas.
Mr Elliott spent a month in hospital after the problem was diagnosed in June and work colleagues said he was recovering at home.
