Postcards off over marking bloomers

Bosses at a D-Day museum were forced to remove a range of commemorative Union flag postcards after an eagle-eyed visitor noticed mistakes with the markings.

The postcards have been taken off the shelves at the D-Day Museum in Portsmouth, Hampshire, after a mistake was spotted in the diagonal lines on the flag.

The red diagonal lines were in the centre of the white ones on the museum's postcards. A visitor told staff at the museum these lines should actually be slightly lower down on one side and higher up on the other.
