No free lunch for customers

Updated on 04 October 2008

There's no such thing as a free lunch any more for customers of a restaurant who are brave enough to plunge naked into a lake in the US state of Maine.

Owner Leigh Turner has decided to stop giving out a free Skinny Dip sandwich -- that's thinly sliced prime rib on a baguette -- for a skinny dip after the council in Greenville voted to deny his alcohol licence renewal application.

The council said they would have had no problem granting the licence if the promotion ended. Thus, said Turner, dropping the deal was a no-brainer.
