Monster marrow on display

The world's largest marrow, likened to a Doctor Who monster, is on display at an amateur gardening show.

At 65kg (113lb) the voluptuous vegetable needed two men to carry it to a display table at the National Amateur Gardening Show, in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.

It is just one of the oversized exhibits at the giant vegetable contest taking place at the Bath and West Showground this weekend.
