Concern over pants' standard dip
Updated on 21 January 2008
The chief executive of Marks & Spencer is to hold summit talks with Jeremy Paxman after the presenter complained the store's underwear no longer offered "adequate support".
Sir Stuart Rose will meet Mr Paxman to discuss what the Newsnight anchor feels are declining standards in M&S's socks and underpants, a spokeswoman for the chain confirmed.
The 57-year-old presenter, who also chairs University Challenge, said that like many men, he had always bought his pants at M&S, and told The Mail on Sunday he felt the matter was of great concern.
