Church bell traps ringer

A bellringer was nursing a broken collar bone after he became tangled in the bell rope, fire crews have said.
Dr Tony Merry was lifted around 3ft in the air before falling back to earth when the rope got caught in his trousers.
Fire crews had to lower him through a trap door in the cramped belfry at St Mary's Church in Charlbury, Oxfordshire, using a pulley system.
