Christmas 'car boot sale' probe
Updated on 02 December 2008
Trading standards are investigating after a Christmas Lapland attraction was described by one disgruntled visitor as a more like a car boot sale.
Dorset County Council said it had received more than 50 complaints about the £30-a-ticket Lapland New Forest, which opened on November 28 at Matchams Leisure Park near Ringwood in Dorset.
Many people contacted local papers and radio to complain about the attraction, claiming chaotic queues of up to three hours in the wet and cold to see Santa.
