Cafes 'serving as offices'

One in four workers are forced out of their crowded offices and base themselves in a local coffee shop instead, according to a new report.

Research for telecoms giant BT among 1,000 businessmen and women found that many also worked from cafes when they were travelling - or simply because they wanted a decent cup of coffee.

The study was published to mark an announcement of a deal between BT Openzone and Caffe Nero to make wi-fi available across the high street chain.
