'Business-style' mini protests

Comedian Mark Thomas has launched a business-style "outsourced" protesting service to subvert laws restricting demonstrations around Parliament.

The stand-up, accompanied by his "board of directors", toured the 1km exclusion zone to carry out 181 separate mini protests in one day.

Operating under the trade name McDemos - which claims to offer protest "solutions" - Thomas has been attempting to carry out as many separate mini-rallies as possible in order to create a mound of paperwork for police.
