Big Ben? It should be a robot
Updated on 10 July 2009
Children would change Big Ben to a robot and the Angel of the North to a monster if they had the chance to re-design some of the UK's most famous buildings, a new study has showed.
Toy giant Lego asked youngsters in junior schools in Reading, London, Edinburgh, Blackpool and Newcastle upon Tyne how they would "reinterpret" landmarks.
Using scale models, the youngsters replaced London's Gherkin office block with a guitar, the Scottish Parliament with a Loch Ness building and Blackpool Tower with one representing a bucket and spade.
