Baby gibbon nursed by toy camel
Updated on 26 September 2008
A baby gibbon saved from starvation after her mother failed to produce milk is being nursed back to health with a toy camel as a surrogate, keepers said.
The endangered Siamang Gibbon, just 10 days old, was severely malnourished before Noah's Ark Zoo in Bristol stepped in.
The pampered primate cuddles the camel for comfort and is being fed milk with a bottle until she is strong enough return to her parents.
