A man weighing around 43 stone has been rescued from his home in suburban New York after falling and struggling alone for two days to phone for help.
Firefighters used saws to dismantle one wall of David Schock's modular home on Long Island to extract him because the 57-year-old was too large to be removed through the front door.
It took at least 10 of them to lift him on to a custom-built wooden backboard designed for large people before he was taken to a nearby hospital.
