Thousands face repossession

Channel 4 News learns that the numbers asking the Citizens Advice Bureau for home repossession advice has risen by 51 per cent.

They haven't invested millions and they weren't necessarily in bad debt. But thousands of people across Britain are now in danger of losing their homes. As house prices continue to fall they've ended up with mortgages they can no longer afford.

One leading charity also says the government may have underestimated the sheer scale of the problem.

Our North of England correspondent Nick Martin met one of the many families now faced with repossession.
