No more rewards for failure, Gordon Brown warned today. Bosses of the banks bailed out by the government will miss out on millions of pounds in pay and bonuses this year.
The City watchdog also said the days of "unacceptable" remuneration policies were numbered.
Among those enjoying multi-million pound bonuses, Sir Fred Goodwin - the ousted chief exec of RBS - who is now losing the right to any pay-off.
