Sir Fred bows to pension pressure

After mounting pressure for him to hand back his lucrative pension, former RBS boss Sir Fred Goodwin volunteers a £200,000 a year reduction. John Sparks reports.

Sir Fred led the Royal Bank of Scotland to the brink of disaster, and has been under pressure to hand back his pension.

Today he volunteered to cut his annual payout - although he will still receive nearly £350,000 a year.
