RBS eyes 300 branches sell-off

The Royal Bank of Scotland is considering selling off all its 312 branches in England and Wales.
The government-backed plan is in response to demands from the European Commission that RBS sell off assets in order to compensate for the billions of pounds of taxpayers' money it has received and the bank's involvement in the Treasury's toxic asset insurance scheme.
