New website to aid forces charities

Falklands War veteran Simon Weston has launched a new price comparison website that will raise money for Armed Forces charities.

Every time a consumer uses Forcesdeal.com to find cheaper car or home insurance, the site will donate 70% of its profits to helping veterans and serving troops.

Mr Weston, a former member of the Welsh Guards who suffered horrific burns when the troop carrier the Sir Galahad was bombed in June 1982, is one of the site's founders.

He said: "Forcesdeal.com takes the price comparison site approach to new heights.

"It not only gives great value and great choice when insuring your vehicles or home, but also ensures that much needed funds go to help our current and future veterans who have given so much for our country."

The profits from the site will be donated to the new Forcesdeal.com Foundation, which will distribute the funds to established forces charities.
