Mortgage lenders ask for more help

Mortgage lenders meet Alistair Darling this afternoon, hoping he will offer more help to borrowers who fall into difficulties with their loans.
The plan would involve the government taking a second charge on their home.
This is despite yesterday's announcement of a £50bn guarantee from the Bank of England on mortgage loans.
