Millions stolen from Dublin bank

An armed gang has stolen up to 7m euros without going anywhere near the bank.

In what's known as a tiger kidnapping the gang forced a bank worker to drive to a flagship branch of the Bank of Ireland at dawn this morning, while they held his family, including a young child, at gunpoint.

The man was forced to take bags of cash from the vaults and hand it over before his family was released.

It's raised questions over security at the bank and how one member of staff could have access to so much money.
