It's the economy, Obama

Barack Obama gives his first press conference since victory in the US presidential election.

The president-elect will talk about the economy, as the latest figures show unemployment rising by 240,000 to a 14-year high.

Senator Obama is continuing to put together his top team, he has already chosen a chief of staff and a senior White House adviser and is about to appoint a treasury secretary to tackle the country's economic crisis.
