Dire warning for British economy

The British Chambers of Commerce records a 'frightening deterioration' in the state of the UK economy.
"A frightening deterioration" in the UK economy is how the British Chambers of Commerce has described the economic situation in its latest quarterly survey.
Trading conditions are, it says, the worst for 20 years. And many retailers will agree with that assessment, after the worst December sales figures since 1994.
