Can winter fuel payments stop 2.8m homes slipping into fuel poverty?

Channel 4 News speaks to energy minister Malcolm Wicks and asks if the era of cheap energy is really over.
The social impact, say campaigners, is unthinkable: another 2.8m households living in fuel poverty.
That's if gas bills go up by 70 per cent, as this programme revealed last night they might.
The prospect of soaring prices, has already led one energy retailer to declare the era of cheap energy is over.
So will the government step in with extra payments for those most at risk? We talk to the energy minister Malcolm Wicks.
