BA boss: 'no sign of recovery'
Updated on 22 May 2009
After announcing a loss of £400m, the chief executive of British Airways says he can see "no sign of recovery anywhere". John Sparks reports.

The results in themselves are bad enough. British Airways annual loss announced today of £401m is the worst since privatisation.
But chief executive, Willie Walsh's assessment that "there is no sign of recovery anywhere" clearly also suggests an end to the recession is some way off.
Walsh is going to work for free for a month; job losses and a merger with another big carrier also now look inevitable.
