Albert Square 'has priciest homes'

He may only be a lowly fish and chip shop owner, but according to experts, Ian Beale has the most expensive property in soapland.
His four-bed semi-detached property with loft conversion is the jewel of Albert Square and could fetch up to £597,233.
Patrick and Yolande Trueman's spacious home (£587,337) and Pat's house (£502,391) took second and third place respectively.
Online property experts Zoopla compiled a list of properties from EastEnders, Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks and matched them to real-life areas to work out which area had the highest average house price.
EastEnders' Walford (said to be Walthamstow, east London) topped the list, with the average house costing £439,785. Emmerdale (Esholt, Yorkshire Dales) eased into second place with houses costing £229,207, while Hollyoaks (Chester) claimed third spot (£193,698).
Unsurprisingly, Corrie's endless rows of terraced housing meant that the ITV soap propped up the table with the average house in Weatherfield costing £96,341.
