X Factor finalists revealed

The X Factor judges have selected the 12 acts who will battle it out to win the ITV1 talent show.

Simon Cowell, who is mentoring the boys, chose Eoghan Quigg, Austin Drage and Scott Bruton while girls' mentor Cheryl Cole picked Alexander Burke, Laura White and Diana Vickers.

Rachel Hylton, Daniel Evans and Ruth Lorenzo made it into the over-25s category, and are being mentored by Dannii Minogue.

But Louis Walsh will be hoping to clinch victory with the groups Girl Band, JLS and Band Lashes.

Last year's winner Leon Jackson will be the first performer on the show, singing his new single Don't Call This Love. Britney Spears will also be performing in this year's series.

An average of 9.5 million viewers tuned into Sunday night's show to see the final 12.
