Fugees star Wyclef Jean has revealed he would play the Glastonbury Festival if he was asked.

The festival's organisers caused a stir this year when they announced rapper Jay Z was to be the headline act.

Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher even branded Jay Z "wrong for Glastonbury".

But Jean isn't deterred.

He said: "I'd do the festival. I like mud actually."

The pop star also said he would never do reality television but he revealed he has a soft spot for X Factor judge Simon Cowell.

He said: "Give the guy a break."
