Rap star Wyclef Jean has said it is possible the Fugees could reunite in the coming years.

The New Jersey hip-hop group rose to fame in the mid-1990s with covers of Bob Marley and the Wailers' No Woman No Cry and Killing Me Softly with His Song by Roberta Flack.

Wyclef Jean, 36, said he is yet to make any plans with other band members Lauryn Hill and rapper Pras Michel.

"Bono called the Fugees the hip-hop Beatles," he said.

"Looking ahead in the future, maybe three years or something, if they want to do a reunion I would definately love to participate.

"It's not gonna happen without Lauren, that's totally impossible."
