More than 50,000 music fans congregated in London for the first day of the Wireless festival.

The two-day event takes place in Hyde Park, the scene of recent open-air performances from Bruce Springsteen and Blur.

Dance duo Basement Jaxx headlined on Saturday while US hip-hop star Kanye West was due to bring the proceedings to a close on Sunday.

Felix Buxton from Basement Jaxx said: "It's very hot. Everyone's half-dressed, having a drink in the sun, so it's great."
