Westwood's classical catwalk
Updated on 19 November 2008
Dame Vivienne Westwood has wowed fans with a catwalk show featuring a classical orchestra and ballet performance.
The Chaos Point fashion show, which featured the designer's Gold Label collection, included a live performance of Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty, as well as urban and contemporary music.
Dance performances came from Fernando Montano and Romany Pajdak of the Royal Ballet.
The designer's latest collection was said to be inspired by a story she had written about the global ecological crisis, titled Active Resistance to Propaganda.
She asked a class of school children to listen to her story and paint their visions of it. The images were used for Westwood's Gold Label designs.
Proceeds from the London show went to the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children).
