Previous winners include Damien Hirst, of pickled shark fame, and Grayson Perry, the transvestite potter.

Now work by the four artists shortlisted for this year's Turner Prize goes on show in an exhibition at Tate Britain.

Our Arts correspondent Nick Glass has been at the Tate for a sneak preview of the nominations.
