Tube suicide film is criticised

A new British film about deaths on the London Underground has been criticised for being insensitive.

Three and Out stars The Office star McKenzie Crook as a Tube driver who has the misfortune of running two people over with his train in the space of a few days.

The comedy takes a more sinister turn when his character embarks on a mission to kill a third person, when he discovers it will earn him a massive pay-off from work.

But the movie has caused an outcry from Aslef, a train driver's union, who are not happy with the plot, calling it "insulting and foolish".

The distribution company said the light-hearted film took "great care" to handle "heartfelt issues" sensitively and that they were aware of the difficult issues the film raises.

The film also stars ex-Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona and Gemma Arterton who is set to appear alongside Daniel Craig in the new Bond film, Quantum of Solace.
